What exactly are Max smartphones? Well, Max smartphones are a bigger and more powerful version of an already existing smartphone. What does this have to do with what’s coming next? The answer lies within the name of the smartphone we’re about to preview and we know you’re going to love it; behold the Xiaomi Mi Max, the smartphone that aims to take the company to the Max-imum level.
If you're looking for a smaller Xiaomi phone, try the Mi 5.
The Mi Max is one of the largest smartphones in the market today. Its larger than life size is accompanied by its premium build quality which comprises entirely out of metal. The front panel features a gigantic display with the bottom bezel holding 3 capacitive buttons while the back slightly curved metal panel shelters the primary camera and fingerprint scanner. Gorgeously poised with a 7.5mm width, its 203g mass is a tad overweight in our opinion.
The smartphone features a huge 6.44 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 342ppi pixel density. This just about brings the smartphone a beautiful 1080p HD resolution that ensures that wherever you go with the Mi Max, you’ve got an always ready to perform mini home theatre with you.
The Mi Max features two excellent cameras that are motivated as ever to take good care of your video and photographic needs. The display wasn’t the only thing the smartphone features as its hunky 16 megapixel primary sensor evens things up a bit. Phase-detection autofocus and a dual-tone LED flash follow suit while the secondary camera features a 5 megapixel sensor that might not be enough for the large 6.44 inches display.
Where there’s massive size, there’s always a requirement for powerful hardware to smoothly keep things running. The smartphone either features a Hexa-Core processor or an Octa-Core processor while its two variants, a 32/64GB internal storage plus 3GB RAM model and the Prime edition with 128GB of internal storage plus 4GB RAM, contain more than enough power to steamroll the built-in Android Marshmallow.
A fingerprint scanner at its back panel and a power bank like 4850 mAh battery signs off the Xiaomi Mi Max.
