Highlights

As disclosed by us earlier, Xiaomi will officially start selling smartphones in Pakistan very soon. It won’t splurge its devices into the market for now and will instead take a slow and steady approach by introducing 4 brilliant smartphones. Amongst these is the Redmi Note 4 who holds incredible specifications within some of the most unfathomable of prices.

Build quality and display

The Redmi Note 3 has all the traits of a typical Xiaomi smartphone. With a metal unibody design that is synchronous with many other Xiaomi smartphones, the Redmi Note 4 encapsulates some amazing specifications underneath its HTC mimicking body with the antenna bands and HTC One 10-ish look (from the back panel that is). The dimensions could’ve been a little better at 8.4mm width and 175g weight but hey, don’t pass your judgement just yet. There’s plenty more to come.

Its display features a 5.5 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 401ppi pixel density. This translates into cutting edge 1080p HD resolution that provides some top-notch graphics atop its large display panel.

Cameras

The smartphone features two deliciously poised cameras; the primary camera features a 13 megapixel sensor with phase-detection autofocus and a dual-tone LED flash. Phase detection autofocus is one of the higher-end camera features that alleviate its prowess to newer levels allowing it to produce excellent video and photography.

The selfie sensor stands at 5 megapixels about which we’re not that optimistic. However, we’ll give our benefit of the doubt to Xiaomi as we’ve seen the company produce some amazing cameras over the years.

Hardware and software

Xiaomi’s latest and greatest Note series smartphone is powered by, what we’ve seen for the first time, a 2.1 GHz Deca-Core processor. Most of the company’s smartphones are marketed in variants separated by their RAM and internal storage and the Redmi Note 4 follows suit; it features a 16GB internal storage plus 2GB RAM Standard Edition while the other 64GB plus 3GB RAM is known as the Higher Edition with both coming in with Android Marshmallow.

A fingerprint scanner, Fast Charge technology and a large 4100 mAh battery, which promises loads of battery time, are its other distinguishable traits.
