After the immaculate success of Samsung’s A-team in 2016, it would’ve been an unforgivable sin for Samsung to simply rest on their laurels; instead, 2017 is showing signs of promise as the newest A series devices a.k.a the A series 2017 seems to be the perfect upgrade to the now-slightly older 2016 A series. What better than the A7 2017 to lead this transition?
The Galaxy A7 2017 comes on the back of huge successes of its mighty predecessor, the A7 2016. The smartphone was an epitome of beauty, features, power and it was hard to imagine how Samsung could improve an already excellent smartphone. The answers are all here as the A7 2017 has finally made a slight appearance in-front of the public and we couldn’t have been more happier with what we’ve seen in the upcoming device.
Build quality
The A7 2017 features almost identical build materials to its predecessor with dual-glass panels guarding its front and back with a thin metal frame separating them. The design slightly mimics the Galaxy S7 because of its no-platform or in simpler words, bump-free primary camera sensor while the device features the sturdiness we all adore in the A7 2016 and it’s more rounder than its predecessor around its edges as well. Its dimensions, a 7.9mm width, ensure that the smartphone catches everyone’s attention when flashing its shining exterior to the public while IP68 certified dust and waterproofing is no longer a flagship-only trait.
Display
The device features a 5.7 inches Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with an additional 386ppi pixel density. Allowing the smartphone an HD 1080p resolution, we assure you an excellent graphical and user experience on each and every corner of the smartphone. While not 100% confirmed yet, Corning Gorilla Glass 4 will stand on-guard atop the display ensuring more strength than previously imagined.
Cameras
We’ve previously mentioned the smartphone not to have any sort of a hump or platform on which the primary camera resides but now is the time to get into a little bit more detail; the smartphone features a powerful 16 megapixel primary sensor with additional features that include f/1.9 aperture and 27mm lens, autofocus, LED flash, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama and HDR.
The selfie sensor does its bid to ensure that it has its own identity and boy are we gobsmacked to see an equally capable 16 megapixel sensor in there as well. In short, there’s absolutely nothing you need to worry about when it comes to the smartphone’s snapping prowess as dual 16 megapixel sensors aren’t seen in the market that frequently even nowadays.
Hardware and software
2017 should definitely see an increase in the hardware Samsung stuffs inside its devices and the A7 2017 could just be the start of that. The smartphone is powered by a 1.9 GHz Octa-Core processor with an additional 3GB of RAM. Coming out of the box with Android Nougat, you’re likely to receive the lag-free user experience you were hoping for. Its internal storage banks at 32 gigs while an external memory card slot, front-mounted fingerprint scanner, USB type-C, fast charging and a humongous 3600 mAh battery are its other notable mentions.

Not only will the A7 2017 see an official launch come mid-January or early Feburary 2017, its other siblings notably the A3 and A5 2017 will also make their official appearances. We expect it to beginning selling at around 47,000 rupees and just like the A7 2016, we believe the price is somewhat justified but definitely could’ve been a tad lower.
