HTC’s introducing a slight twist when it comes to how they’re marketing and designing their smartphones come 2017 and the HTC U Play symbolizes that to perfection. Vastly different to what we’ve previously seen from the Taiwanese giants, it’s packed with simply everything you could wish for. Expected in Pakistan by mid-February together with the much more powerful U Ultra, the smartphone commands a mighty starting price close to 67,000 rupees as well. But, don’t get put-off just yet!
The smartphone with an “odd one out” design
By odd one out, we do not mean that the smartphone features a disappointing design. What we rather mean to imply is that we haven’t seen HTC produce smartphones with similar dimensions and design to the U Play. The design is definitely something new meaning that the company is exploring newer horizons in trying to mix things up. Its slick dimensions comprise of an 8mm width and 145g weight.
Warning! Razor sharp graphics ahead
The smartphone features a 5.2 inches Super LCD capacitive touchscreen with 428ppi pixel density. This translates into a wonderful 1080p resolution that whole-heartedly enjoys serving you with wonderful graphics.
The cameras could just not have been better!
We mean it. The cameras simply couldn’t have been better. Not only do both the sensors feature tremendous power but their feature laden portfolios are enough to win our plaudits. Statistically, the primary camera features a mighty 16 megapixel sensor with jaw-dropping features that include OIS, phase detection autofocus and a dual-tone LED flash. The selfie camera is as powerful as its primary counterpart with 16 megapixels worth muscle of its own leading us to reiterate that the HTC U Play’s cameras could just not have been better.
Did someone order a smartphone topped with absolutely no lag at all?
Well if you were the one who placed this order, you’ve got what you wished for. The smartphone is powered by an Octa-Core processor with an additional 3/4GB of RAM. The 32GB internal storage variant features 3 gigs of RAM while the more powerful 64GB variant features an additional 4GB of RAM. Lag is simply not an option on the built-in Android Marshmallow and its external memory card slot, fingerprint scanner and fast charge technology are everything else you need to know about the HTC U Play. Adios!
HTC U Play pros:
- All modern day specifications that include a fingerprint scanner, fast charging and a USB-type C port
- Absolutely no lag atop the Android Nougat
- Both the cameras could just not have been any better
- A win-win display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection
HTC U Play cons:
- The battery could’ve packed more power
