QMobile claims to specialize in producing good value for money smartphones. The i8i is one of its more affordable devices and with a price-tag of 7,500 rupees, the smartphone does seem to offer some good specifications for the price it commands.
Entry-level build quality and display
Unsurprisingly, the smartphone features a tinge of metal with hard plastic as its primary build materials. Dimensions wise, we’re looking at a 9.5mm width and 158g that reflect the smartphone’s entry level which definitely could’ve been improved.
Its front panel features a quantitatively commendable 5.0 inches display with a rather tame amount of 240ppi pixel density. Translating into a lowly 480p resolution, you’ll probably find its display pixelated and lagging in terms of sharpness.
Twin LED flashes anyone?
The smartphone is expected to come-in with LED flashes for both of its primary and selfie sensors. The primary features a 5 megapixel sensor while the selfie sensor is further toned-down at 2 megapixels. That’s probably the most you can expect from a smartphone that costs less than 8,000 rupees.
Nothing extraordinary with the hardware
The QMobile i8i is powered by a quad-core processor with 1GB RAM. Android Marshmallow is its preferred OS while 8 gigs of internal storage is nothing surprising. A 3000 mAh removable battery juices the smartphone while its availability in gold colour only might put you off as well.
