After the X32, QMobile’s obsession with entry level smartphones continues with the X32 Power. Commanding a launch price of rupees 6,000 and already sitting pretty in the market since February 2017, is the X32 Power-full at all?
Entry level display and design
There was hardly ever any doubt about this as the smartphone’s price suggests so. With an old-fashioned design that sees three capacitive buttons sit at the bottom bezel and a plastic back, the X32 Power hasn’t caught our attention at all. A 9.1mm width further adds to its disappointing build while its 146g weight is something to cheer about.
The smartphone’s display features a small 4.0 inches touchscreen with 240ppi pixel density. Allowing a 480p resolution, we’re sorry for you if you were expecting razor-sharp graphics here.
Time to address its cameras
The device features a 5 megapixel primary camera with customary camera features that include geo-tagging, gesture shot, face detection, panorama and an LED flash. QMobile calls its secondary sensor a “Smart camera” but we’re pretty sure it’s a fancy word for VGA.
Thankfully, its RAM is more than we first thought
But it’s not enough; on first sightings, we expected the smartphone to shelter no more than 512MB of RAM but here we have it. The X32 Power features a 1.2 GHz Quad-Core processor with 1GB of RAM. Not quite enough to smoothly run the built-in Android Marshmallow, its 8GB internal storage, external memory card slot and 2500 mAh battery may persuade you to buy it as your second smartphone.
