The smartphone definitely does well to excite us because of its improved design while its hardware in the price it commands is commendable as well. Design follows the model of the famed Galaxy S8

We honestly believed that the Galaxy J6 would feature the same old Samsung design with the classic capacitive keys flanking the home button at the front-bottom bezel. We’ve been surprised though as the J6 features a design that has its fair share of similarities with the Galaxy S8. While not completely bezel-less, the smartphone oozes its fair share of premium-ness making its full plastic body seem like metal.

Dimensions wise, the smartphone features a modest 8.2mm width and 152g weight while its overall build quality is really good.

Just like your average J’s display

The Galaxy J series rarely ventures forth into 1080p HD displays. Unfortunately the Galaxy J6 is not one of those brave soldiers as the smartphone features a 5.6 inches Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 294ppi pixel density. That equates to a satisfactory 720p resolution which should do just fine to serve a nice graphical experience atop the front panel.

Cameras: you’ve seen em’ before

The cameras department of the J6 features a pretty much standard set of cameras. The primary camera features a 13 MP sensor with an LED flash of its own and customary camera features such as geo-tagging, HDR, pano etc. The selfie sensor on the other hand features a credible 8 MP sensor with an LED flash of its own to make sure that you can take detailed selfies even in the dark.

That’s pretty much it about the camera department. From the onset, they may seem two pretty dull camera sensors but we all know about Samsung’s prowess in making excellent camera sensors so we’d pretty much advise you not to underestimate these two as well.

Two variants with credible hardware

Powered by a 1.6 GHz octa-core Cortex processor, the Galaxy J6 is marketed in the following two variants:

• 3GB RAM plus 32GB internal storage
• 4GB RAM plus 64GB internal storage

The power-packed model will likely set you back another 10,000 or so rupees but in our opinion, both the variants would do very well to provide you with a nice user experience atop the built-in Android Oreo.

A rear-mounted fingerprint scanner like the Galaxy S9 sits just beneath the primary camera sensor while a 3000 mAh battery ensures that you get a nice amount of battery time. As far as the colour schemes are concerned, the smartphone comes in black, blue and gold all of which look really good atop the finely designed Galaxy J6. We can say that Samsung J6 price in Pakistan is definitely worth it.
