Vivo’s establishing a foothold in Pakistan with its entry-level and flagship-grade smartphones that do very well when stacked-up against the rest. Its latest Y71 is another addition to its glowing arsenal of bang for buck smartphones with the device set to cost around Rs. 18,000.
Typically Vivo designed, slim bezels
The Y71 features a known design nowadays with the smartphone featuring an all metal build with thin bezel at the front panel. That’s the norm nowadays and the smartphone does well to stay in touch with it. Its 7.8mm width and 150g weight further adds to its glory.
Speaking of the display in depth, the smartphone features a 6.0 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 268ppi pixel density. That equates to a fine 720p resolution but we’re not really at a 100% about how will it do on the large front display.
Hardware and cameras
The Y71 features typical cameras for a smartphone within this price range; a 13MP primary sensor with phase detection autofocus and an LED flash while the selfie camera features a 5MP sensor. Adequate if not the best, yes?
Underneath the metallic hood, the Vivo Y71 is powered by an octa-core processor with 3GB RAM. The built-in Android Oreo would do just fine while its 32 gigs of internal storage will provide you with ample amount of room to dump your stuff away, although it’s also marketed in a 16GB variant as well. Other features include an external card-slot, Black and Gold colour schemes plus a 3360 mAh battery. No fingerprint scanner though which is a bummer!
