Sony’s new line of Xperia smartphones consists of the brand new Xperia XZ Compact. Hitting the shelves in late April 2017, the XZ Compact offers a lot more in much less.
Looks and feels much alike the bigger Xperia XZ
The XZ Compact features the same build materials and design compared to the more expensive Xperia XZ. A similarly sumptuous all metal design coupled with curving edges, the XZ Compact is a true beauty. Other than the aesthetics, the smartphone’s toughness and resistance is guaranteed by its IP68 dust and waterproofing.
Display: small in size but sharp in prowess
In an era where display sizes greater than 5.0 inches have become the norm, the XZ Compact goes a little bit out of the way with a smaller 4.6 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen. Featuring a 319ppi pixel density, the display allows 1080p HD resolution that upon combining with a small display size produces excellent graphics.
Cameras: bazooka-like firepower
The Compact XZ’s primary camera features a 19 megapixel sensor with plenty of muscular features such as predictive phase detection and autofocus plus a supreme image stabilization technique known as EIS or electronic image stabilization that produces much better photography. Other customary features such as 1/2.3" sensor size, geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection, HDR, panorama and an LED flash duly tag-along further alleviating the smartphone’s primary camera prowess.
The selfie camera, though not as good as the primary one, features a 13 megapixel sensor of its own. That’s definitely more than what the doctor ordered.
Who dare calls the XZ Compact ‘Compact’?
With processing power as hunky as this, we’d repeat the question above many more times. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core processor with 4 gigs of RAM that provide plenty of steam to the built-in Android Nougat. 64 gigs of internal storage is awesome news while a trademark Sony side-mounted fingerprint scanner, USB type-C, Quick Charge 3.0 and a 2800 mAh battery summing up the Xperia XZ Compact in style.
