In a plethora of already present Chinese smartphone manufacturers operating in Pakistan, Vivo is finely poised to make its appearance sooner rather than later. According to surveys, the Chinese manufacturer that began producing smartphones since 2011 is China’s 3rd most popular smartphone manufacturer with a proven pedigree in the eyes of millions of Chinese.
Its fame can definitely be attributed to the fact that the company has grabbed value for money devices by the scruff of their necks and have further improved their specifications by a good margin. While going over some of its releases, we found a distinct pattern between all of its devices that included large displays, gigantic cameras with a knack for selfie sensors to be bigger, more powerful than their primary counterparts as well as excellent processing power complimented by jaw-dropping amounts of RAM.
These attributes not only allowed most Vivo devices to outdo their rivals but they also ensured a worthwhile user experience for all their users. Like Oppo, Vivo focusses a-lot more on camera prowess with special emphasis placed on selfie sensors. Most of its devices include larger than life selfie sensors that even outperform most of their primary counterparts. With the Oppo F3 Plus being the world’s first dual-selfie sensor smartphone, Vivo just couldn’t help but dish out its very own V5 Plus as a counter to that with a dual-selfie sensor of its own.
Design wise, their devices have a lot in common with Oppo as they somewhat share equivalent dimensions and build materials. We’re talking metal unibody designs with Samsung-ish home-keys on the front panel. They’re very simplistic which is one of our criticisms of Vivo for not coming-up with something new as far as the exteriors of their devices are concerned.
That being said, we’re very optimistic that the company would do well in Pakistan mainly because of their ability to produce commendable value for money devices with large displays and powerful camera sensors. Things are destined to heat-up a little more in the Pakistani market!
